You will be emailed an order confirmation that will include your unique Booking Reference Number and a barcode that also contains this number. We suggest printing out the confirmation email or keeping a screenshot of the barcode/booking reference on your Smartphone. This will be scanned and redeemed at Admissions and you will be granted access to the Rare Breeds Centre.
COVID-19: Members and non-members must now book an arrival time before visiting. Members must bring proof of their booking and proof of their valid Membership to gain access.
No, we regret we are unable to issue refunds. We are a registered charity for adults with learning disabilities.
Gift Aid allows charities like us to reclaim tax (25p for every £1) from the government on your donations. If you are a UK tax payer, by opting to Gift Aid, you enable us to treat your whole payment as a donation, so each £1 you spend can do £1.25p of good.
Gift Aid donations can only be made in respect of UK taxpayers and their households.
You must pay an amount of Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax at least equal to the amount we reclaim on your gift in the tax year (6th April -5th April) currently 25p for every £ you give. If you do not pay UK tax you can not agree to Gift Aid your admission. (Other taxes such as VAT and council tax do not qualify)
The declaration is in respect of a Gift Aid donation which is equivalent to the normal Admission charge to the Rare Breeds Centre plus at least 10%. The whole amount so given, is regarded as a donation under Gift Aid and we can recover tax you have paid from HMRC.
Once you have submitted your details and agreed to Gift Aid your donation, you need do nothing more, we simply reclaim the basic rate tax you have already paid on your donation to the Rare Breeds Centre from HMRC.
The information you give will remain confidential and will not be passed to any organisation other than HMRC (formerly Inland Revenue)
Canterbury Oast Trust will reclaim from HMRC 25p of tax on every £1 you donate.
If you pay Income Tax at the higher rate, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self Assessment Tax Return if you want to receive the additional tax relief due to you.
You do not have to print out your booking confirmation. If you are using a handheld device or Smartphone simply bring up your email and show this to the Admissions team. We recommend that you take a screenshot of your booking, just in case you are unable to access your emails while on site (some service providers have weak/no signal in our area).
Wheelchair access is good around the core farm attractions but difficult in the more remote areas.
We accept Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Maestro and Solo. We do not have ATM on site.
COVID-19: We are currently only accepting card payments across site to reduce any risk of cross conamination.
We only allow assisstant dogs on site. This is for the safety of our farm animals.
You will receive 2 renewal reminders via email before any Memberships on your account are due to expire. One, 30 days before expiry and another 7 days before. Simply follow the links to renew the same Membership or purchase a different Membership if your circumstances have changed.
We have WiFi across the majority of our site. Simply enter your email address and connect.
Yes. If you have a valid Membership, bring your confirmation/proof of purchase email with you along with your arrival time booking confirmation and we will scan both at the gate to make sure your Membership is valid.
Once confirmed as valid, you will be asked to head straight to the Gift Shop to recieve your Membership Card(s) and have your photograph taken. We will then be able to identify you from your photograph next time you come in on your Membership. We do not take photographs of children.
If you require a carer, you can bring them in for free providing you have paid the full price for admission and can show proof that a carer is required.
Don't forget to add your carer(s) FREE ticket when booking an arrival time online.
We encourage the use of face masks at the Rare Breeds Centre. It is also a Care Home for adults with learning disabilities. We have clinical waste bins on site to dispose of your masks.
Sorry, we are unable to rearrange bookings due to Test & Trace procedure. Bookings and tickets cannot be refunded, exchanged or rearranged. This is stated in the Terms & Conditions you agree to when you complete your purchase online.
If you have a voucher, you can book in as a Member on our website. This will not charge you but will book your arrival time slot. Bring your booking and your Voucher with you to the gate, and we will redeem the Voucher and scan your booking.
Yes. Please call us on 01233 861493 between 09:00 and 16:00 for any queries that cannot be answered by our website. We will do our best to answer as promptly as possible however during peak times this may take a little longer.
No, we have not joined this scheme as we are a registered charity.
Use the ticket type 'Unredeemed Ticket/Voucher' to book your arrival time. Present your ATAK Pass to our Admissions Team on arrival and they will redeem your booking.
